SALLY HANSEN’S SILVER ANNIVERSARY

I recently found this nail polish at target and fell in love immediately. The name is Silver Anniversary and it doesn’t have a number like they usually do. In my experience when they don’t have a number it means they are limited edition so I grabbed it as fast as I could. I knew I didn’t see this one when browsing at the 2010 fall collection so I was wondering what collection this little beauty belonged to but so far I haven’t been able to find that info. I did however find on their website that they have a color with this name and its number 16 so I don’t know if it is part of their regular line….

Pinky - one coat

Ring- two coats

Middle – three coats

Pointer – four coats

It is sheer enough to be used over other colors but it is buildable to provide complete coverage as you can see.

The name describes the color perfectly and there’s not much more I can add. It’s shiny, shimmery and beautiful. I’m not wearing any top coat so the color you see is the real thing, no added shine here.

SOFT SILKY HAIR – PRODUCT #1 – NEXXUS THERAPPE SHAMPOO

Luckily, this product is now being sold at drugstores and Costco, which is where I purchased it, hence the big size :)

I have been using it for quite a while now. Can’t really say how long exactly but I think it’s safe to say it’s been at least a year and a half. It is not the only shampoo I use because we all know we need to switch products from time to time so that our hair doesn’t get used to it, to know what other shampoo I use for soft hair, come back tomorrow to find out.

After all this time using this shampoo I think I have a very good idea of the product and feel I can review it properly.

First thing I should say is that it is thick, very thick, therefore I recommend getting a bottle with pump otherwise it is going to be very hard to get the product out of the bottle.

Smell, oh wow it smells delish! It’s coconutty, sweet but not too much…just wonderful.

When it comes to cleaning power I have to say that since it is so moisturizing and conditioning, it can leave your hair a little greasy. Not a problem if you wash your hair everyday or even every other day but if you’re used to washing your hair less than that, then it might be a problem. I know CVS and Ulta sell the travel size for a very good price; I think it is $2.99. If you have greasy hair and are unsure about trying this product it is probably a good idea to get the small travel size to test it first and if you like it, then buy a big sized bottle with pump.

I love it so much that I already bought another big bottle for when I run out of this one.

SOFT SILKY HAIR

For years I thought soft silky hair was just a dream, an impossible one like winning the lottery, so I kept trying every product out there in hopes of finding “the cure”. My natural hair is coarse and thick and I thought nature had played a cruel game on me because I thought my goal was only reachable for people with thin, naturally straight hair.

One day I had a great idea…. color my hair! and there it was, finally my hair changed its texture, I was now a STRAW head, I think going bald would have been a better idea…oh well..you live, you learn.

At this point I was considering becoming a nun, the outfit would cover my head perfectly; but the idea of having to go through a divorce to conquer that plan, made me go out seeking for a better solution.

After many, many, many years and a loooooot of products and money wasted I have finally found a combination of products that works for me. My hair is so soft now, that I simply can’t stop touching it.

I know I’m not the only woman with that problem so I thought I could help a lot of people here. Now, keep in mind that we are all different and this same combination of products will not work for everyone but it will for some. If it doesn’t work for you just know that there is a solution out there and take this as a starting point.

As I mentioned, it is not one miracle product, it is a combination of products and every day I will reveal one; so if you are interested in learning about this products keep coming back every day to read about the ‘product of the day’

I have been thinking how to show you my hair but no picture really shows the texture I feel when I touch it. Still, I know you want to see what it looks like so I’m hoping these will satisfy. For the purpose of showing you the real texture I didn’t style my hair, that means I washed it and used the products but I didn’t brush it. I know it sound weird to some people but that is how soft it is now, I almost never use a brush anymore. I left it to air dry and I didn’t use any styling tools…in other words, it is natural style.
